Charging Modes

Manual

Manual mode gives the operator direct start, stop, current, and phase control from the dashboard.

Auto

Auto has two possible controllers. Choose Phaeton or Victron GX in Settings. The Charging page shows the saved controller.

With Phaeton selected, Auto follows solar surplus using GX solar, grid, load and battery readings and your local charging preferences.

With Victron GX selected, GX supplies the Auto charging commands. If GX loses control, Phaeton holds charging while waiting for GX. It does not switch to local solar rules.

Changing the controller does not start charging or change Manual or Scheduled mode. Select Auto on the Charging page when you want to use it.

Scheduled

Scheduled mode follows active charging windows from the Schedule page in Phaeton. Use it when charging should only be allowed during predictable time periods.
