How your Peblar reaches Victron
  1. PeblarLocal network, Modbus TCP
  2. Phaeton on your Victron systemAppears as a Victron EV charging station
  3. VRM and the Victron display

What you get

  • Your charger appears in VRM and on the Victron display with its charging power and status.
  • Auto mode follows the solar production and household use your Victron system measures, not only the grid meter.
  • Manual, Auto and Scheduled charging from Phaeton's own page on your Victron system.
  • Sets the current in steps smaller than 1 A, so the Auto mode Feed-in can follow the power going to the grid in 0.2 A steps.

Why not the charger's own solar mode?

A charger's own solar mode usually reads only the grid meter. With a Victron home battery, the battery takes the surplus first, so the meter shows little export and the charger keeps waiting. Phaeton reads production and use from the Victron system itself.

For the Peblar:

Requires Modbus TCP and firmware 1.6 or later. Enable Modbus ReadWrite access and select the Default charging strategy. Confirm the charger IP address, TCP port and unit ID. Set the current limit for the actual 11 or 22 kW model.

Configure a zero-current fallback with a nonzero timeout in the charger. Automatic phase switching and RFID authorization are unavailable; on a charger that reports independent relays, you can switch between one and three phases by hand in Phaeton.

One license per charger

€99 for your first charger, €49 for each extra charger in the same household. Updates included, 30-day refund.
